Headlight Help!!
Hows it going everyone?? I have a question i am hoping someone can help me with, I have a 2008 A6 S-Line and I want to change the headlights to the 2010 model in order to have the LED's at the bottom of the light, can this be done? Has anyone done it?
I am watching a few 2010 headlights on ebay that already have the led addition but its just the casing, no ballast or lightbulbs, can I use the lights I already have or do I need different ones...
Thanks in advance!!

Do a search. This question is well documented and yes you can use the newer headlights in your current car. However you'll need to make adjustments and coding via a vag com cable and you'll need to ensure that the ballasts and such come with the assembly. I'd provide more info but I'm on my phone. So leverage the Search function.

FWIW, it's not just a 'plug and play' update and can be fairly costly.

If you fully read those threads you'll notice a lot of folks ran into build quality issues with the rs6 headlight assembly and the polish distributor was of no help. Be cautious.

Glad you found this thread. As you can read either you can purchase rs6 headlights from Europe and then code the drl via vagcom or you can remove your own headlights and use heat to separate the headlight and then physically install the led into it.
Both have their fair share of issues and keep reading the threads and you'll discover them. Also as I mentioned re the Poland bought headlights ran into electrical issues that you should be aware of.

I did do this on my wife's car. You do need to buy the NEW rs6 headlamps from Germany and it is ALOT of work and it gets expensive. Unless you are mechanically inclined and have no problems with electrical wiring, you might want to give this idea a lot of thought. I think I spent 3-4 weekends working out all the bugs.
