Default Headlight question

Hey guys, this is my first post on this forum and to be honest, I do not know much about my A6 so I need some help from you pros. I have a 2005 A6 as my backup car (daily driver car is 2014 Jeep SRT). I need to get new headlights for it, they are all scratched up and one is cracked. I am looking at 2 different aftermarket headlights.

1. Spyder PRO-YD-ADA605-LTDRL-BK
http://www.carid.com/2005-audi-a6-he...-25510660.html

2. Spyder PRO-YD-ADA605-DRL-BK
http://www.carid.com/2005-audi-a6-he...ts-264189.html

I like option 1 better, but on car-id.com, it says "Will not fit Models with Factory Xenon/HID Headlights"

My car has factory HID headlights, that move when you turn the steering wheel. I am just curious if anyone has any experience with these and if they'll fit my car.

Also, if anyone has any other advice or options on which aftermarket headlights to get, please let me know!

Thank you guys so much!

I"d stick with OEM that have the adaptive function, and keep it simple.

The OEM adaptive headlights are approx $1200 each and I think that is what the OP is trying to avoid. Personally, despite the cost, I did stick with OEM when I replaced both of the headlights in my old 2005. I don't know what other options are available.

I appreciate the replies. Its not so much the cost that I'm trying to avoid, I honestly just wanted something that looked a little newer, or more like the newer Audis with the light bars.

Some people have done the RS6 (euro) swap for our headlights. I believe Bob did it in his old C6 and had a good write-up on it, since there is some wiring and VAG changes required to make it work for your vehicle.

Here's his car: https://www.audiworld.com/forums/a6-...6-a6q-2817086/
