Hello people,
My a6 heats up while driving.there are no leaks ,water pump has no leaks or sound,coolant is fool and fans work. Im thinking thermostat.any thoughts.....

What color is the coolant? If it's different color than pink or purplish pink then stop driving the car and do very good flush, preferably 4 or 5 times. If the G-12/13 was mixed with generic parts store anti-freeze the G coolant starts to gel and plugs the cooling passages in the block.
If OTOH you have G12/12+/13 and the car overheats then it's most likely faulty thermostat.
