OK any advice on how the pins are removed safely in this terminal?

Unfortunately the pics are blurry. There is usually a clip or piece that slides out. Once that's out. Another may follow and then pins will pull out or have a little ear you have to release.

If I recall correctly..
Just remove that purple cover where all the cables go in... Then just slide out the whole thing from casing..

The purple part looking like a question mark looks like a lever. I believe you need to remove the purple plug on the end and then use the lever to push the plastic part that has the individual holes for the pins out. Once the cover is off you will have access to the latches that hold the wires with the female ends on the plug.

Disclaimer: I am not 100% sure, so be gentle when trying this process.

I manned up and figured it out. But yes for future reference this is correct. The end piece slides down and the whole ternal slide out. The lever is for removal and installation.
