Well, no codes yet, VAG cable hasn't come in the mail yet. But by what I can only describe as an act of God, the car miraculously started today. I went to get it ready to be towed and noticed it was stone dead. So I got my fully charged jump box and hooked it to the terminals under the hood. I put the key in the ignition and turned it because why not, and it started. So after changing out of the pants I just ****, I drove the car home from my dad's storage lot. Once in the safety of my driveway, I figure lets turn in off and see if it starts again. Battery is stone dead. Its a bit more than a hop, skip, and a jump from storage to my house. The battery should have at least charged enough from that drive home to turn on the MMI or interior lights, but nothing, totally dead. So having assessed that my battery is definitely bad, I recall that one of the countless threads I looked up on this issue described a battery related fix. So I went and got a beefy new battery and proceeded to start the car about 50 times in total disbelief, on and off, on and off, on and off...... Whatever the case may be, since the car is able to move on it's own for the time being, I sieze the opportunity to get it to an independent Audi specialist (NON DEALER) and let them scan it with VAG COM to see if they can tell me what happened and where I stand. I am awaiting their call.
