Default 2005 Audi A6 (3.2) Head Light Assembly

An Audi dealership service department wants to charge me $4200.00 to replace both left and right headlight assemblies on my A6. I tried to just get the bulbs replaced, but the dealership said that there was too much "corrosion" on the inside of the headlight unit. To me, I feel like I am getting ripped off. Any thoughts??

Yes it's very expensive at dealership every price and repairs are based on the msrp.

I can sell you my adaptive headlight pair for 600$ if you're interested. They'll be available in the next week.

Yes they are. I am also the original owner of the 2005 A6 (3.2) fully loaded with Sport Suspension.

I am ok, I went ahead and paid the $4200.00. Which is for the two (2) headlight assemblies plus the two (2) modules that go with each light assembly (that controls the adaptive functionality along with the high and low beam capability). No need to compromise regarding safety related maintenance.

You had no problems except a blown headlight? Sounds a bit fishy to fishy to me. That price is outrageous.

Why did the modules have to be replaced as well?? It sounds like they're trying to get more $$ out of you...

You could of upgraded to RS6 headlights for half of that price.....
