Is this legit? ...and will it fit?

Finally installed the Dubstop Grill. I went with the gloss black version. A little tedious with having to take the front bumper off for the install but pretty good fit overall.
Choosing not to install the euro-plate holder and ordered the Show n' Go license plate bracket instead. Also chose to go sans 4-ring for now, only because I realized after the fact that I needed to mount the bracket BEFORE reinstalling the bumper!!!
One question for those that have gone this route...Has anyone found a way to remount the "S6" emblem onto the honeycomb grill?
Now for the obligatory pictures:

I am also looking at this grille for my 2010 S6:
Problem is here in MA we have to wear a front license plate and the black dubstop grill is a european grille with regards to front license plates (ie. wider and shorter). Has anyone seen this grille with an American front license plate? Would it look funny? This could be a deal breaker!
Then again here is my actual car, looks like the stock grille is a euro front plate grille too! SO I would have to mount the license plate in the same way to the stock grille anyway?

We have the front license plate law in CA as well, but its not enforced very well. Most Tesla Model S's don't have front plates either - at most it is a fix-it ticket; so not a big deal.
You could always side mount the front license plate (http://garagestar.com/shop/type1_lic...e_bracket.html)

I have had my OEM RS6 for almost 3 yrs in MA and never had a problem. I have traveled all over Mass even on the most hicks of towns with bored cops, nothing. I do carry the plate under the passenger seat just in case I have to throw it on the dash real quick if need be. Heck, one cop once gave me complements coming out of Wholefoods on how nice the car looks as it sat nicely detailed. No front plate talk. Go for it but yea, get the rings.

Remove the entire bumper for install
You'll need a dremel or like tool, to cut out plastic sections of the surround around the bumper to get it to fit cleanly.
Make sure you remove the silver front gaurd rail and then paint it black with a few coats of paint 🎨. Since it will be visible through the new bumper and it will make the entire thing look better.
Good luck 🍀

Hey! I currently have one of the black honeycomb grilles in my 2009 A6. I want to add the silver rings back but I can’t seem to find a set of rings with the mount needed to secure it. Does anyone know the part numbers or have a link to something decent aftermarket? I actually need the rear rings as well but less pressing. Thanks!
