Default long cranking over time

I notice in the mornings when im starting my car that it takes about 2-3 seconds to start up. I replaced my battery through audi last year and i should think my battery should still be ok after a year. Should i have my battery tested first? If i do i dont want to run into the issue where all my settings are lost and i have to reset things. Are there any other things i should look into?

And if i do have to replace my battery whats the proper way of changing it out? Is there a backup system i can put in place while my battery is out? What would i have to reset if I did just take my battery out? Thanks for the help guys.

Edit: btw i have a 2010 C6 3.0T

yeah, mine does that too when cold--about 2 sec. hot it usually fires immediately.
done that as long as I've had it--so not sure what's normal.
if you do replace your battery, there are small battery packs in a box that plug in thru the cig lighter or obd II port that can keep your settings.

this is the one I ordered--used it on another vehicle, but not the C6.5 as yet.
