Looking for a factory rim for 06 Avant
#11
Raj99, do they all come with TPMS or was that an option on the C6? Most of the ones I've seen on ebay look like the module is removed. Found one with a good Conti tire for 199 with free shipping (but I'm going to need it by Wednesday) and this one matches the AP code at the end. All the others seem to have different letters at the end and no TPMS module in them (yeah around 100). Nothing on CL locally. Also, does the TPMS light go off if it doesn't sense a spare? Took the bad rim out today to go shopping and TPMS came on. Didn't go on with the bad rim in the back sitting. I put it back in to see if the warning will go off. Uberlame has a nice pdf that came up in a google search and it seems that the system looks for 5 sensors.
Thanks,

All you need to do is either reuse the TPMS sensor attached the valve of your current wheel...or just buy a new one from Audi A6 2004-2011, for $40! Then just install it with the new or same tire you had on the wheel. BTW, personally I wouldn't try to repair that crack, since when it comes to cracks on wheels...I just don't take chances when it comes to wheels
As for our vehicles responding to the TPMS, our system is rather simple (low-line) and looks for validity of 4 out of 5 sensors...also the sensors themselves have a lifespan of 6-8 years. Here's some more details on the particulars of the system: http://uberlame.com/a6_tsb/TPMS/TPMS%20Overview.pdf
If it were me, I'd run my spare wheel for the time being and then buy the one I sent you from ebay and reuse the TPMS you already have or if it's old, but a new one and get a tire...job done
