Low rev stutter
Hi guys ...first post on site and I hope someone can help...recently got an a6 2.0 tdi manual from March 2008.....drives lovely apart from one thing ...on light throttle between 1600-2200 revs it has an intermittent "stutter" that I can either just drive through or ease off the throttle.it has no regular occurances as it can be warm or cold. On a reasonable and hard throttle it's fine. I have noticed that it doesn't stay at 90 resolutely on the temp gauge but will drop very quickly to 70 odd if come to a stop or coast down along hill.Am I in the right direction looking at the coolant temp sensor as the tickover although it's not bad it feels like it's ever so "pinking" for want of the correct terminology. The car has a fash has done 99000 miles ,oil change ,air filter and fuel filter within last couple weeks. Had it on the computer down at 4 Rings in dartford who I trust completely but showed no faults and true to form wouldn't misbehave on the test drive.Economy excellent..have had 64mpg on steady 45 mile drive...any ideas??
