Missing Rear CV Boot Clamps

Missing Rear CV Boot Clamps
Just replaced rear brake pads today. I found out that both side of the Rear axis were missing CV Boot Clamps. See the picture. Not sure how long they were missing or broken off.
Do I need to refill the CV joint grease into the CV joints before putting in a new clamps? If I open the CV boot to refill grease, I am fear of contaminated the CV joint with dirt which may cause the CV joint to fail.
Any advise.
Thanks

If they've not been sealed...the CVs are already most likely contaminated. I'd consider changing the boots and grease, but if you don't see any real issue with the current boots. Clean the area, put in new grease, and then make sure to seal them up well.
