Will do. May or may not happen depending on if/when the car sells (though I'd like to add the NAV just as a selling bonus).

Though now I'm wondering if that plug is the correct one for the NAV or if it's for the Satellite radio.

Although green, brown and blue connectors look the same, they are not. You will find out that trying to plug either the green or brown on the Navi drive wont work. The antenna Fakra connector for GPS has two grooves opposite each other on the inside, like this

Take a look at yours, the green has no grooves, and the brown has only one. GPS antenna is definitely blue.

The power Connector and Optical will work for both Satellite and Navigation, they are interchangeable. I am sure of that I have tried it. If digging for the GPS connector proves to much for you, a $20 hideaway antenna with fakra connector will make the whole operation much easier.

My 05 didn't have nav from the factory but I added it and used a cheap magnet GPS antenna and tucked it under the back deck from inside the trunk. Works great.

If you go that route look for an antenna with a fakra (spelling?) connector, that will plug right into the rear of the GPS DVD drive.

Since I had XM from the factory I had to get a Y-cable to add the GPS. Car recognized it right away when I started it up, no programming necessary.

One thing to keep in mind is that you might need to be careful of which DVD map disc you use. I believe version greater than 5.0 needs updated MMI software to work.

Thanks to a very friendly member here, I just snagged a NAV DVD drive on the 'bay for $160 shipped. Can't beat that.

So looking around, I see there's plenty of fakra Female to Female extension cables available. Does anyone have an approximate length needed to run from the NAV DVD player to the pillar connector where the connection is made?
