hey everyone

I just bought an 06 4.2 and i want to replace the grill. I found one on ECS tuning that has the honeycomb pattern without the front license plate mount. Has anyone worked with one of these? I know there is some trimming that needs to be done to make it fit flush but is it a difficult process? Or does anyone have other suggestions for where to order a grill from?

I purchased that same grille from ECS Tuning and the installation wasn't too bad. I bought a dremel and used that to trim the bumper support behind the grille. It took some time to get it right, but I really like how it turned out.

I did the EBay route (About $80).. And without the chrome trim.

I recommend that you check eBay. There's lots of suppliers for our grilles and with no modification needed. Though, do a thorough check, some of the grilles on there are very cheap quality, while others are decent to high quality. I purchased an all black honeycomb grille from eBay a few months ago and it was fitted perfectly. I will having to be purchasing another since my car was backed up into and now the grille is cracked. I'm going with the blacked out one that daczone has without the plate mount this time around.
