Default P008A low fuel pressure question

I have a 2007 4.2 and I'm getting a P008A error. Obviously I searched and found it is a low fuel pressure error and found
possible solutions. However, I did just notice that when I open the drivers side door I don't hear the "whirling" noise of the fuel pump priming
from the passenger right rear side of the car anymore. I can sort through fixing the P008A error, but just for my own curiosity would anyone know if these two things are related?
Also, it may be my imagination, but I think the car takes a few more seconds to start. It certainly doesn't seem as quick to start as in the past.
Does anyone have any input if all of these are related?

Thanks in advance.

I have the same exact problem with an 2007 3.2

It could be a faulty fuel sensor or the fuel pump it self. I am taking my car for further diagnosis tomorrow to find out the reasoning.
