possible blown speakers
I have the Bose radio. On the way to work radio was fine. When I got in my car to come home from work, the two speakers on the rear shelf sounded like they were blown. My wife happened to call and even when she spoke the speakers sounded(is that correct english?) blown. I shut the radio off and nothing changed . I parked car and a couple hours went back and I couldnt replicate on two occasions two hours apart. What is going on?

Do a scan with vcds. You will know what part of your sound system have a problem. If it is from the speaker you'll see an error from thoses and if it is from the amplifier you will know it too. Is your car is an avant or a sedan?

Cars is a sedan. I am new to vcds so please bear with me. I only see codes at address 61 back on 01 14 2014. Dont know what that is car has run perfect. Also radio seems normal, but it sounded terrible earlier. Thanks for assisting btw...

Blown speakers, if that is the case, are not intermittent. It means the cone, or voice coil are badly torn. That speaker would emit serious distortion, particularly at higher levels. You may have acess to a great testing tool, it's called an ear. Put you ear to each driver. If you can't get you ear next to it, use a cone made of paper. You can also use the balance and fader controls to isolate each quadrant.
It does not sound like a blown speaker, pun intended. Intermittent distortion is often caused by a wiring or connection defect. Connections corrode ever so slightly. The higher resistance causes degradation of sound to the point of severe distortion. I have seen many so called blown speakers fixed by cleaning all connections, a little spay of electrical cleaner, like DEtoxit.
