Default Problem installing Dension Gateway

Hi

I bought a Audi A6 -06 and wanted to be able to stream music from my iphone to car stereo.
I got a Dension Gateway (GW52MO1) and installed it and there is some problems.

I got a red screen, MMI basic and a single cdplayer and i only got 4 buttons around the multimedia wheel.

After i installed the Dension the multimedia wheel stopped working.
The blue LED on the Dension is blinking when in on mode, if i switch to bypass its off.
I can connect my iphone trough bluetooth and make calls and i can play music with the aux 3.5mm.

So, do i need to code something with my vag-com? What shall i try next?
Please let me know if you have any idees.

Best regards
Alexander

What version of MMI software do you have? I put a Denison in my '06 and I updated the MMI first. I seem to remember that was necessary.

Alex,

FWIW, are you sure that you installed everything correctly? If not, there's a GREAT installation video on youtube by Enfig here's the 2nd one:

As Schwartz mentioned, make sure your MMI is up-to date. Also, make sure that you have a good battery.

cheers

You have the wrong Denison Gateway. You posted that you are trying to instal GW51MO1. For MMI Basic you need GW51MO2.

good catch halo! I just assumed he had the right one, but you are correct.

OP, ouch, sorry to hear you went through the entire install...at least you'll be quicker to install the 2nd time around

Hi guys

Sorry, but i have the GW52MO1, and that is right?

I now have the dension to have a solid blue led, ( i had the cable from the connecter port in the wrong input)

But i cant see any other sources under "cd changer", only gw aux.
Gw aux is working but i dont want to use a 3.5mm cable.

Could it be an update for my mmi system that is the solution?

You need GW51MO2 for your MMI Basic if you want it to work.

GW52MO1 (which you have) won't work with MMI Basic no matter what you do.
