Hi there
My A6 (2005) 3.2 Q has developed leak, passenger side rear differential seal. Now I see that you can buy those anywhere from $4 to $30 a piece. Any recommendations on what to buy (OEM, or not)? Replace both although the other side is not leaking?
Recommended differential oil? Any good write-ups or videos showing step by step how to? Assuming that someone has done it at Indy or 'stealer', what did you pay for the job?

Get OEM parts for your car, the MTBF (mean time between failures) will be a better investment. As for changing diff fluid, here's a thread I started awhile back and I also changed the transfer case as well. It was well worth it...wish I'd taken pics, but honestly it was pretty darn straight-forward and there's only one way to access the fluid and suck it out then pump it back in with fresh fluid.
