Im not fixing it myself- just picking all the information about possible fixes before going to service. It is very hard to find a mechanic who would accept to repair it anyway, not even talking about experienced one Most of them refuses to accept it for a service after finding out its s6... Can not understand this. Its not a spaceship- just A6 with a bigger engine and some upgrades, but all of them see a devil on a wheels and running away. So there are only 2 places in our town where i can fix it- a dealership (expensive as hell) and a racers garage where most of unusual cars are coming for a fix (2x less expensive). Even audi dealer asked about it said they haven't serviced any (C6) S6 for a years. Racers garage seen 2 of them before. So imagine yourself a situation and my possible choices of the experienced mechanics This is a rare version of this car in my country. I love how this car drives and its comfort in longer rides but when it comes to fixing- its a pain in a#%.
And yes, it vibrates on idle and only on idle. When it is on P or N and giving some throttle, until the ~1000 rpm vibration gets harder and later disappears and not coming back on higher revs. If it is on D or R, totally no vibrations at idle or at any rpm.
And a stethoscope is on my list, thank you for reminding about it, its about 2 years im trying to buy it but must now finally do it! Will order it from ebay on friday. Or better on weekend..

Yes, the sewing machine sound is normal. You hear the injectors open and close, and therefore only at idle where the cycle of each injector opening and closing is long. Once the RPMs go up it all blends together.
What you want to listen for is loud rattle right after starting the engine. If you can hear that then you may have problem with the timing chain guards. Some not too loud rattling for maybe 10 - 15 seconds that then goes away as the oil pressure builds is OK.

haloguy628, the sewing machine sound starts 2-3 seconds after turning on engine. At the start there is no ratling noise so i guess all is normal then..
Service took my car earlyer and this morning already got it back. Changed one gasket and there should be no leak. Will see about it in a day or two. Engine now works somehow more smooth and vibrations are now weaker, but still some left..
However they also found one side engine mounting is bad. One mounting cost ~350 usd, so its not very cheap as for an engine mounting... What you guys would do- change one or change both just in case?

Get the parts from internet and have independent shop do the exchange. It will be a lot cheaper than going through dealership. I would just change the busted side. No need to change both. I bet that will solve your vibration problems. The V10 is quite heavy engine.
