I'm about to buy an A6.

What are the benefits/drawbacks of the Sports Package? Ride, handling, etc.
Specifically, is the ride much harsher?

Also -- It seems there is a 19" Sports Package and also a 20" one. Other than tire size, is there any difference?

For clarification, are you asking about Sport package or S-line? FWIW, there are Sports seats offered in the A6, but the S-line has slightly lower springs, a slightly different front grill, obviously S-line badges and steering wheel, and bottom of the door panel has "S-Line" on it.

Also, what year and model of A6 are you looking at buying?

BTW, the tires will be the only difference if both vehicles are s-line vehicles (i.e. 19" vs 20").

I didn't mention anything about an S6, so not sure what you are talking about. I asked for clarification, if you are referring to 'sport seats' or are you referring to the 'S-line' package. The S6 is a different model (engine, seats, etc...).

Sorry for all the confusion -- I'm buying an A6 with the Sports Package. I don't know if that includes different than normal seats. My concern is about the suspension and changes to ride quality.

What is the 'S-line'? I haven't even heard of it .... So I assumed you were referring to S6 when you said S-line. Again, sorry for the confusion.

Then you are in the wrong forum. You want to be in the C7 forum. This is the C6 forum.

By the way, I have a 2015 A6 TDI on order. I went with the 19 inch sports package. The only difference between the 19 and 20 inch is the tire size. I went with the 19 inch because of concerns on ride quality with the 20 inch tires. If you ask your question on the C7 forum you will get a lot of feedback from people with experience with the set up.
