steering gear problem removal.

steering gear problem.
Hi there,
Last Thursday morning I was driving to my job when I heard a noise coming from my power steering pump. I stop check the fluid and it was empty... Today I dig more into the problem and find the leak. The seal on the passenger side of the steering gear is blown. The boots over the inner tie rod was full of power steering fluid. So this is gonna be my job in the Christmas vacation. Removing the steering gear. Does anybody here have done that before? If yes did I need specials tools and what to look for, and btw any advise will be greatly appreciate. The car is a 06 avant with the 3.2. Thanks
