Still Having A/C Problems
So Last year my AC wouldn't cool down properly and threw an error code about low refrigerant. I replaced the temp. sensor to the upgraded part and took it to the dealer to have the system recharged properly and after that it worked fine. Now for the past month it has been blowing hot air again. Except the vent by the drivers door seemed to be blowing cold air while all the other vents blew hot. I know about the TSB for the heat pump valve sticking, so I took it apart to clean the valves. I did that and still the same result. I replaced the pump valve with the updated part number 4F1595617B and still it blows hot air. Is it possible I need the system recharged again? Or is my compressor dead? I hear it kick on when I turn on and off the A/C system. Thanks for any help
I'm really starting to get tired of Audi. I've never had so many problems with a car. I replaced all my front door lock actuators, the clips in the sunroof broke, and now A/C issues. I've owned Nissans and Inifnitis and never had to mess around with those cars like I have had to with the two Audi's I've owned. It's a shame because I love how they drive.

As these cars age the gremlins with rubber and plastics parts begin. Based on my experience, when they hit the 8 year mark the gremlins start. Needless to say, I understand your frustration.

So I must have a leak somewhere because I added R134A and it started blowing cold. I'll have to start checking for leaks when it runs low again.

suggest you have it professionally (not Audi necessarily) sucked down and checked for leaks, proper amount of PAG oil, and recharged by WEIGHT to the correct fill (within 5grams), read the pressures, and post it up.
