Default Un-connected wiring harness in the trunk?

While going through my trunk yesterday, I noticed a wiring harness that was hanging on the left side of the trunk, next to the radio receiver & amp. Anyone know what this is for or if it needs to be connected somewhere?! I have the MMI 2G High - no navigation, no satellite radio.

Any help is greatly appreciated. I apologize for the blurry picture.

I used one or two of those for the navigation. These cars come pre-wired.

My 05 didn't have any extra harnesses but it has satellite radio from the factory. I added Nav by buying a y-harness that split both the power and the fiber into two outputs. $280 for a nav drive with DVD off of e-bay, another $20 for a magnetic GPS antenna under the rear deck and I have nav like it came from the factory. I think the only difference is the monochrome display in the IP versus a color LCD display.

It works great though.
