Update Maps in MMI 2G Satnav

Update Maps in MMI 2G Satnav
Hi,
I am the happy owner of my A6 3,0 TDI and just recently I have bought new maps on CD-R in order to update the existing maps in the sat-nav.
However, I do not understand how to install the CD's. I go to NAV and Settings where I can see the menu Update. From there I can go to the selection of either CD-Rom or the two SD-memory cards.
BUT it does not pick up the new data.
Anyone whom happen to know what I do wrong?

Forgot to mention the year/model...

Henrik,
your satnav is a 3G MMI therefore requires update via the SD card. Furthermore, such update can only be activated via the dealership. Therefore, although you can get the maps elsewhere, the activation and cost to do so will be at the dealer.
