Hello folks... my sunroof created wind noise from about 30 MPH +. I have pushed up on it while driving but no change. I have also cleaned the seals and tracs all the way around with no change. It appears that it seat level when closed.
I've done some extensive searching on this issue but it would appear I'm the only A6 owner with this issue (2008). I would really appreciate if any one could give me any insight on how to fix this. TY!!!!!

Close the sun shade and the wind noise will lessen.

Looks like the issue issue is the front of the sunroof glass needs to go up just a bit. Does anyone no how to make adjustments to the sunroof?

Update... turns out I did get water leaks as well. I hired a sunroof guy who did find the drains where clogged or partially clogged. I think when I went thru the car wash the Dryer forced water to leak thru the sunroof due to partially clogged drains. The tech made a slight adjustment to the back of the sunroof trying to fix the wind noise. However, there was no change. I still have the wind noise.

I've had a noisy sunroof since day one in my 05 A6...it's better with the shade closed but still annoying.

The gasket has gone brittle and needs to be changed. I've changed mine and there is no noise now. Easy DIY - you just have to push it hard inside the groove.

So this isn't too hard as a DIY'er? Are there any tricks to removal of the old and installation of the new?

no - its pretty straightforward. Removal is easier than install.

For the install, start on one side and push hard, and then feed and push little by little into the groove. It might seem impossible initially, but once you get it started, its very simple.
