Nope. I have version P0612 in my S7 and the car still shuts off when I open driver's door

As cars get "smarter" we are forced/induced to develop new "habits". For me it is a maddening situation, especially when my wife and I keep multiple cars which are driven regularly.

Yup, that's what I'm talking about...

We plan to do this at our first service appointment. I assume any dealership can do it?

I very much doubt. If they don't - suggest them to change coding of block 46, last byte from 0F to 00, but if this is not in their official instructions - they may refuse and you will need to VAG-COM it.

Any dealer can disable this. I was told after we had ours done that Audi was supposed to send all new cars to the states with this function disabled because of the complaints.
