Default AMI + Bluetooth/contacts

Hello all

A7 newbie here (2014 prestige), i apologize if this has been answered before....

It seems that the only way to control music "fully" through the MMI interface is via an AMI cable. But when the AMI cable is connected, I can no longer get the Audi to see contacts or use the phone features. When I'm connected via bluetooth w/full phone features and then connect the AMI cable, I get a message saying that I have to "choose" between using bluetooth or AMI for audio. When I select AMI, I then lose all the bluetooth-related phone features.

Is there a way to both use the AMI so I can fully control my music through the MMI while also using bluetooth on the same device for phone features?

Check to see if the Bluetooth Audio is on. If so, turn it off if using the AMI.

I have an older version of MMI and I went to my car and experiment with your question, my car got connected through Bluetooth and I could see my contacts, then I connected the iphone through the AMI cable and my music started and I could see all my contacts without any message of choose between either.
I placed a call and the music stopped, I ended the call and the music resumed.
I checked my Bluetooth settings and it was on.
I don't know exactly why some upgrades actually make things harder than easier.
