Have a 2012 A7 and my VIN is not showing up as having a recall. Wonder if Audi is staggering the recall so they are not overwhelmed with initial repairs. Hard for me to believe some 2012 A7's would be subject to the recall and not others, but what do I know.

Since there was only one version of the 3.0 TFSI engine available in North America, it stands to reason that they all have (or had, if repaired already) the same problem and they will all need to be updated.

The only exception could be if it was a certain run of parts (used between defined dates) that causes the problem, so only vehicles made in that time period are recalled. I don't believe that to be the case, it sounds more like a design flaw that is corrected with new, improved parts.

Have a '13 A7. Just had 35K service at the dealer/stealer. Inquired about this recall while I was there and my VIN did not qualify.
FYI

I bought my 2012 A7 in September, and just received the formal notice of the recall for the fuel system leak, and to schedule the service as soon as convenient. It says they will need 8 hours for the repair. In an unrelated issue the letter also says, "The thermostat and/or crankcase pressure valve will also be updated on certain vehicles." I don't know if mine is one of those, but will find out when I take it in.

I have not received my notice (yet), but since you just received one I guess maybe they are doing a rolling notification.

Default Recall

I took my car ('12 PP with APR Stg I) for a check engine light. The next morning my entire garage smelled of gasoline. I took it back and was told my car didn't qualify for the recall but met all of the specifications of the recall. The parts were on hold for the recall, so the dealer wrote it up under warranty. They replaced the fuel rail, some brass fittings and injectors.

I acquired a 2012 with approx 23k miles initial date placed in service 28 April 2012. This car was in Minneapolis, prior to my picking it up from a used car dealer there I registered the car on my audi. Clicked in recalls and saw the fuel system leak problem. I contacted the used car dealer and they took the car to Audi and got the recall mods done before I flew up and actually purchased the car. Just for grins when I went to Audi in Peoria AZ to get a lojack, had the service person check and sure enough the recall fix was actually applied.

Why they haven't taken the car to the audi showroom , they will inspect those leaks frequently and doesn't let you down with their service.Mine fuel filter has been replaced three months ago and till now i won't have any kind of issue with it.

A month or so ago there was another fuel system recall on the car, dealer applied the fix on my last service visit for oil change.
