Default a7 steering not as tight as a5

coming from a 2010 a5 sline to a 2014 a7 sline my only gripe is the steering is nowhere near as tight when using dynamic mode in audi drive select... its like im driving a school bus, the a5 felt like i was glued to a rail when i was cornering. any vag com fix? or anything to make the wheel heavier?

You cannot change the stiffness of the steering through vag com. Its your tires. You may need to get better performance tires for tighter steering. My A7 steering is tight and heavy with dynamic and 20 inch Michelin pilot sport as3 tires spring to fall and during winters I have 19s with blizzaks and the steering is a bit soft and light even in dynamic mode so TIRES make a huge difference.

Tires will make a big difference but the A7 is a bigger and heavier car than the A5. The A5 is based on the B chassis and the A7 on the C chassis. I noticed a handling difference when going from my B8 A4 to my C7 A6 (even though my A6 has the sport suspension and my A4 did not). There's physics at play here.

HAHA yep those Contiprocontact TX were the same tires I had when I got my 2016 A7 2 years ago and wow they're horribly soft and mushy in every aspect. The steering was numb and light. I recommend that you get the Michelin Pilot Sport AS3 plus in size 275/35R20 since the odd ball size 265/35R20 gets poor choices of tires. Go to Tire Rack - Your performance experts for tires and wheels and check them out. The michelins will stiffen the car up and the steering a bit and make it very sporty feel over the laid back feel of the Procontact TX.

No issue with 275 from 265mm wide just smoother ride and better pothole protection with excellent and tight handling feel. The pricing is AMAZING now! I paid 275 for each tire 2 years ago! This was the older version AS3 tire and I am definitely going to get these new ones this summer for this price of 210! I would get them soon in March and get them Road Force Balance by your audi dealer onto the 20 inch rims to get that perfect glass smooth balance that regular balancing machines cannot do. It will cost a bit extra but so well worth it especially for these low profile tires and rims you dont want to have even slightest vibrations.
