Default Anyone convert Bose to B&O successfully

I'm considering buying the parts necessary to upgrade the A7 Prestige to Bang and Olufsen. Does anyone have direct experience with this upgrade?

I'm interested in this answer too. Seems like most aftermarket upgrades aren't to B&O. Their claim is that you can get a better system for less money. I look forward to hearing what others have to say on your question.

I don't know the answer, but I'd bet it would not be cheap or easy. It would be like building a car through the parts department. A $60,000 car would probably cost at least $200,000.

My past experience pricing modules etc. to upgrade says that it will cost you less to trade the car up to a new one with the B&O factory installed than buying the parts (never mind the labor component). The other major issue you will run into is the coding.

Found an entire kit on the bay at $1402 from Germany...cost is plus installation, seems like a no-brainer considering third party upgrades are not inexpensive.

BUT...in addition to tearing down the interior, I'm going to imagine re-coding is likely the key and was wondering if others had this experience or could help me, assuming I buy the kit.

Anything of this complexity purchased on eBay for that price would surely be devoid of any issues. . If you price out the actual B&O OEM components, the price is significantly more expensive than $1400 so one has to wonder what you would be really getting.

IMO, better to consider using other after market audio system upgrades than trying to add the B&O. There are several A6/A7 threads of owners successfully upgrading the Bose sound system to superior results with no coding necessary.
