Automatic trunk opening help!!!

I just find out I've been watching this video I posted and it's TOTALLY wrong for the A7.. I went to the dealership and told them I have a problem.. The service tech tried to open my trunk the same way the A8 is open ( pressing DOWN)..
I ask them to see if they had any 2015's on the lot. We can test.. A salesman came over stated they had no 2015's but he would give it a try... ........ You have to act as if your KICKING A ball NOT STEPPING on the ground.. Works perfectly. Me and the service tech learned something yesterday.
He even also showed me how to adjust my trunk height to open to a certain height vice opening all the way up.
The video attached here DOES NOT work for the A7.

Thanks for the "kicking the ball" advice. I have now gotten it to work twice, a big help with heavy groceries bags in both hands. I fear I may look a little ridiculous to others as it takes two or three of those imaginary kicks to work, but so be it!

I have the 2014 A7 Prestige and it works fine but I find that my location seems to be just to right of center also I notice it takes a couple of seconds, maybe it gives you a chance to get out of the way. You may not have to kick it a few times just give it a little time. I hope this helps.

Yes I feel like an idiot. My car has the trunk release and I didn't even know it. That's what happens when you don't get the full orientation when you buy the car. I bet there are a few other tricks I don't know about.
