Default Cargo dimensions

Hey guys,

I am considering getting an A7 but wasn't sure about the cargo area. I have searched far and wide online and could not find anyone that has measured the cargo area. The dealership is kinda far away and I try to minimize all interactions with any dealer. Would anyone be able to measure their cargo area and post the measurements online? Also, how deep the cargo area is with the seats down as well as height?

Thanks a bunch!

About 4 bodies wide, with each body being about 8 feet tall. ITS HUGE

I can measure when I get home.

Hahaha

I have been reading about how inconsistent car manufacturers are when it comes to calculating cargo volume since there is somehow no standard (seems simple enough?). I have resorted to directly comparing the actual usable space of a few different cars rather than relying on the manufacturer's claims.

Thanks!

It's 916mm (36") wide by 1197mm (47") deep with the rear seats in the upright position.

What's the vertical clearance with and without the cargo cover?

Don't know. I got the dimensions from a chart on this site. Last page, last chart.

That's a tough one, as the rear window slopes.
How many bodies are you trying to put in the back?

10

But really trying to convince the wife that it has nearly as much cargo space as a small-medium SUV. Our families live a few hours away and when visiting with children at least once a month, we need ample cargo space.

I would say way more than most "small" SUV's. Probably similar to most "medium" SUV's.

I've owned small (Jeep Liberty) Medium (Jeep Grand Cherokee's) and Medium Large (Dodge Durango's).

It will hold WAY more than a Libery, Probably as much or more than a Grand Cherokee (with kids in the back seat but not if they are folded down) and less than the Durango.
