Default Considering CPO for my wife

Hi All,

Former B6S4 owner. I did a lot of work on that car years ago and loved it. I was around with Dr. GP, SIA and many others from way back.

Like a couple others, I jumped onto the Z4 M Coupe and also supercharged and modded the hell out of that car. Yeah, it was crazy fast and weighed less than 3k.

A couple kids later, and now I am driving a company car with zero power. My wife is driving another luxury car to do family duties. I am looking strongly at the A6 or A7 and wanted to get your opinions. I was looking at an A7 recently and my head hit the ceiling with the seat lowered all the way down. It did have a sun roof but it concerned me. The A6 fit me just fine. I prefer the look of the A7 but am not sure if I am missing something. My 5 foot wife will be driving it 90% of the time so I know she won't have any issue but personally would love to drive it occasionally myself without my head against the ceiling. To be clear, my head made solid contact with the ceiling 100% of the time unless I leaned the seat so far back I could not reach the steering wheel comfortably.

Thoughts?

How tall are you? I'm 6'2" and have no issues with headroom clearance.

Plus A7 is just a great looking car, so maybe...

I am 6' 3" and I do not have the seat fully lowered. Tons of room between my head and roof liner. Have never heard of anyone have head issues in the front seats, maybe the sloping back seats.

I could not bring myself to buy a sedan A6. The Buick's of Audi. No emotional connection. Would have loved a new A6 avant but Audi USA marketing are jerks. The A7 has emotional connection and style up the wazoo. And it has 40% more cargo space than the a6. The hatchback is almost as practical as an avant. I have loved every day with the A7 and look for excuses to drive it.

The steering wheel does extend electrically as well as tilt up and down

All I can picture is someone who is 6'6" with really short legs.....like the legs of someone 5'9".

I am only 5' 9" and I can put the seat all the way up (which is a lot) and still not hit the roof. It's got more headroom than the current S4 which has more headroom than the older S4's. You must have been driving that S4 with your head cocked sideways.
