Default Does the car forget?!!

Ok, this might sound dumb, but does the car reset some of the settings if you dont use it for some period of time? I have a 2012 that I use infrequently..and I notice that the HUD display settings reset quite a few times, I need to go back in and check the options to display the navigation or the other two options within that menu.. I dont know if there are other settings that get reset too, but this is the one that I notice..

The car stores what's on the HUD along with seat-position and mirror-setting (if you have memory-seat, that is). If you press the button to adjust your seat back to stored postion it will also bring back (or take away) what ever you had on the HUD.

My 16 A7 forgets the Entertainment Volume setting when the parking assist is activated. I have it set at 1/4 volume, so when the sensors are beeping, I can still listen to the radio; however, it seems that it always resets to mute (or the lowest volume) whenever I get back in my car the next day. Anyone experiencing the same issues?

I posted this in the S7 and music volume thread, but this problem is more specific to the parking assist / entertainment volume setting:

Yes, I have a '16 S7 also, and this drives me crazy.

Often it will default to mute when parking assist is on, seemingly because "car systems" are still initializing if you just started the car and started to back up.

Very often your setting will be erased and set back to mute forever.

If you set it and stop the car, then restart only a minute later many times it will reset it to zero again.

I have not had issue with mine forgetting the volume but it does switch tracks unless I have a song on repeat. It randomly jumps tracks when I turn the car off and get back in a short time. Anyone else have a similar issue? It is up to date on the software.
