And you can only spend the $500 at an Audi/VW dealer!

So I got the official letter and went to the given weblink, entered my VIN, it was accepted and I was told that I shall receive the package in 4-6 weeks that will give me:

• An additional three years of unlimited km roadside assistance coverage
• Complimentary coverage for two scheduled maintenance intervals
• A $500 prepaid card redeemable towards the purchase of goods or services at an Audi Canada dealership

In my native Hungary there is a saying "Nesze semmi, fogd meg jól!" which roughly translates to "Here is nothing, hang onto it real well!".

Why do I feel that way?

• An additional three years of unlimited km roadside assistance coverage means nothing, as I will not keep the car more than 3 years.

• Complimentary coverage for two scheduled maintenance intervals and it is specified that if you already have AudiCare, it adds two more free scheduled maintenance services to the 4 included in AudiCare. Once again, I will not keep the car beyond the first 4 maintenance services (more likely just 3) and at trade in time the remaining prepaid services get lost, they do not transfer.

• A $500 prepaid card redeemable within a year towards the purchase of goods or services at an Audi Canada dealership. Problem is that the Audi warranty is covering everything I need done, have no need for the overpriced trinkets offered and will not need brakes, tires or the like within the one year the offer is good for. The money disappears after 1 year if it is not used.

So the value of this package is exactly zero!

oh boy, just received a letter about "Goodwill Package".
It seems you don't have to give up your rights but I don't know it is good or not to apply it?
any thoughts?

As it's stated, you dont give up any future rights so nothing to lose by applying.

While there may be little to gain, there is absolutely nothing to lose by taking it!

Whatever you need. Service, tires, Audi Care (if you don't already have it), batteries, parts, accessories or put towards a new model.
