Default EPC lit up on vacation...

I've just arrived in the outer banks NC from near Buffalo NY and the EPC light came on. When it came on, the engine was shuttering a bit and not responding well. I pulled over and turned it off, waited 5 minutes, turned it back on and drove back to the house ok. Let it sit for about an hour, turned the car back on and the light is off.
I'm here for 8 days, I think the closest dealer is like 150 miles away. Thoughts? Am I good if the light stays off?
It's a 2012 A7 with 34k miles on it, I just bought it CPO in January with 30k miles on it.

Call any Audi service center and talk to a service advisor. Explain exactly what you are experiencing, they will tell you if it is safe to drive it or not. If you follow their advice, you will not get into any difficulties. They will help you to get the best solution.

Same happened to me with my ex 2012 A7. Took it to nearest dealer who could find no faults, re set the error light and told me Audi think this has something to do with poor quality fuel being used.

Interesting, I called my local dealer and he said it sounded like a misfire and if the light is off now and no check engine light on then it's fine. Maybe the middle of nowhere premium wasn't so premium.

When I got my first Audi (a model 5000) in 1980, I was told by the service manager that Audi did a research project testing and comparing different brands of gasoline and Shell came out as the top brand.

I have been using Shell exclusively ever since and never had a fuel related problem.
