Default Goodbye A7; Hellooo S7!

Absolutely loved everything about our gorgeous A7. Had her for the past 2.5 years. Whenever it's parked, I'd still turn around and marvel at it. Also getting compliments all the time from strangers. I'm sure most of you know what I'm talking about.

Anyway, with another 6 months to lease end, I came across a brand new (150km on the odo) 2014 S7 at a local Audi dealer's showroom floor begging for me to take her home. Oolong Grey, with black Contoured Comfort & Ventilated Seat package and Fine Ash Wood trims. Fully loaded including Night Vision, HUD, Lane Assist, Side Assist, ACC, all except B&O.

Over a period of a week or so, with back and forth emailed negotiations, I was able to get the dealer to reduce the price to something like >$5k less than if I have to order a fully loaded 2016 A7!! PLUS equity on my 2012 A7 as addded DP. Yes, you read right - a brand new 2014 fully optioned S7 for less than a 2016 A7!!

Took delivery yesterday. Here're a few of my "goodbye" and 'hello" pix. This S7 is a beast to drive, with its V8 power, Air Suspension and super comfy Contoured and Massaging searts. Though I'll be over at the S7 segment of this site more often, I'll still be visiting over from time to time, guys. You guys are the best! Keep it up..

Beautiful and stunning; speaks to me too! All the best with it. After a couple of weeks please post your comparative thoughts between the two. I also get many thumbs up and nice comments. I'm the rare red one here in Boca amongst a bunch of greys, blacks and whites

Thanks Rick and everyone for your congratulatory messages and kind words. Yes, I'm still so thrilled with the whole change over from the A7 to this one. I'll post some comparative thoughts between the 2 after a few week, for sure. But right now, all I can say is we're all so used to the A7's 3.0 supercharged, super responsive engine and its buttery smooth 8-sp tranny, the S7's bi-turbo with its DSG transmission does take some getting used to. Esp with some turbo-lag and a totally different feeling dual clutch DSG tranny. But once you're on the highway this thing is a beast to drive. City driving does take some getting used to, for sure.

Any thoughts anyone, with some dos and don'ts on driving with a dual clutch DSG?
