Headrest DVD in A7?
I am new to the forum. I will be buying my A7 next month, maybe even later this month. I have a 3 year old girl and a boy on the way. My Tahoe has a DVD player and I really want DVD in the Audi. Has anyone done headrest DVD players in their A7? The headrests look different than most cars so I'd like to know if this has been done.

Hi, I have done this but in a different way than the ones in my previous car an A6. After removing one of the headrests and stripping it down, I decided there was too much to do to properly fit an integrated monitor into the headrest.
What I ended up with was fixing the headrest monitor housing to the headrest using some hooks and straps after wrapping it first in a matching piece of leather to the headrest, the leather was trimmed a little longer than required so it could be fixed under the padded section of the headrest using self adhesive Velcro (hook & loop tape). The cabling was then run in through the seat backrest with just the short length of cable between the backrest and monitor visible.
Not 100% integrated but less intrusive and when I change my car I can remove all the bits and pieces without leaving any evidence or damage to the headrest.

I was hanging back to see how many responded to your question. I bought my daughter a Phillips dual DVD set up for her SUV a few years back. They hang from the seat backs so each kid has a screen. They also have headphone jacks...
She has since upgraded to a better Phillips system. She gets them from Best Buy with warranties. They easily transfer from car to car and I believe she has replaced them two or three times. Kids are hard on equipment.
