If you have spine issues I would suggest you look at the Comfort seats. They are much more adjustable. I have them in my Q7 and wished I had them in my A7.

The Sport seats in my A7 are much more comfortable than the stock seats. I did two days of 9+ hours of driving in the A7 and didn't get uncomfortable or felt tired at the end of each day.

The Comfort seats in the Q7 add multiple air bladders for infinite adjustability. The multiple massage settings is also great for comfort.

Also, just curious, do the A7s you are referring to have sport seats with thigh extenders? Driving with a seat that is too short can also cause back issues. I had heard the A6 and A7 weren't available with sports seats (only S6 and S7), which is one of the reasons I didn't seriously look at them.

Yes my 2014 A7 has the Sport seats with the thigh extenders. It came as part of the Sport Package. However it looks like they are no longer included, so if you want the thigh extenders you have to get the Comfort seats.

I have the Comfort seats in my Q7 and they are amazing. Much better than the sport seats in my A7. If the Comfort was available when I bought my A7, I would have gotten them.
