Default Newbie (from across the pond)

Hi All from across the pond, (London Calling)

Great forum, having searched the Net for an active A7 forum, yours looks to be the best around..

Just put a deposit down on an early A7 (2011) and have loads of questions with regards to light modifications (Wheels / Suspension).. if anyone has advice it would be much appreciated

Having sat in the A7 at the Audi dealership here in the UK, it took seconds to decide i needed one of these in my life.. quick test drive and the deposit changed hands, I would have have opted for an S-Line version had the budget allowed but more that happy with the SE as it has the comfort seats etc..

I have ordered a set of 20x10 Et35 wheels for the car (Zito ZS02), similar / copy of Vossen wheels with a deep concave 5 spoke and plan to lower the car either on Eibach or H&R springs..

My first Question is regarding tyres, should i stay with 265/35/20 (awful roads over here) or move to 275/35/20 (concerned they may rub once lowered)

Cheers Jim

Welcome to the AudiWorld forum.

I have a set of 275/35-20's on the OEM 9 inch wide wheel. The car has the Sport suspension and I haven't heard any rubbing.

thanks Tenspeed,

decided to go for the standard size 265/35/20 as the car will come with 12 months Audi used approved warranty and if there are any issues it saves any hassle of over sized tyres being used as a reason..

1 more week to wait until i pick it up

Cheers Jim

I went with the Conti DWS06 275's because they were $200 USD less than the 265's. Supply and demand I guess. I doubt that they would be any issue in regards to warranty but you never know.

Lucky you can still buy a German automobile in the UK, even after the BREXIT vote -
welcome aboard & God save the Queen!
