Thanks, Jerry - I got the quick fasteners out, then removed the trim piece and was able to swap out my grill insert. I ordered my car without a front license plate holder, but because it was a European delivery, Audi installed the plate holder anyway. Unfortunately, the German temporary plate was much smaller than the US-sized license plate holder and I didn't like the look of it.

Replacing the grill insert piece took me about 2 hours. It was a bit of a pain to install and it tested my patience a few times, but it worked out in the end and saved me a bit of cash (my dealer quoted $250 to install). Thanks for the help!

Good tutorial on RD installation Jerry, much appreciated. Your annotated drawings were very helpful in installing a beltronics hardwire, especially sniffing out a good switched 12v wire in the harness. This made my install easy and fast. Thanks for taking the time.
