rear view camera retrofit?
Has anybody tried this on an a7 yet? I found a control unit cheap from ebay.de
I will buy the camera and wiring loom new. Does anybody have any information about where i need to plug it into on the car wiring and the best place to access and mount the control unit with all the other factory equipment in the trunk?

When buying the control unit, check if it is not too old/new for you car. I retrofitted rear view camera by myself, also bought the control unit from a person. Unfortunately, it was too new for my 2011 A7, so I had to replace it with an older one. Other things are just the wires, just some job, and it's done! Good luck with it! 
I think the control unit was manufactured in 2010 and mine is 2012 so hopefully it works
I'll starting running the wiring over the weekend when i get a chance. Hopefully everything is compatible

i got the camera mounted today, now im trying to figure out the wiring layout. Based on what i have and the wiring info on the cabling kit i bought. I came up with the following diagram
Does anybody know where the CAN H and CAN L connect into, im guessing its somewhere in the trunk space near the controller unit due to the short cable length, unless i received the wrong cabling for my model

thanks for the info, i came across this over the weekend which helped me get things wired up:

i coded everything too but i get no video output just a bit of interference
Maybe my control unit is faulty or too old for my setup, I did buy it used on ebay and the camera and loom elsewhere new
