Bad pictures. You're saying you see rust on the rotors? It will come and go.

Thats normal. Just routinely wash your car and it will come and go but thats not abnormal rust. Abnormal rust will be seen on paint or other body parts. I would not even worry I've seen this on all cars with big rotors for the past decade up to Porsche and Ferrari in the garage. No dont be disappointed. Shine your rims and polish your tires and carry on.

It's completely normal. However, one thing disappointing is that even on my Civic, the hubs were coated black so that they wouldn't rust. I don't know why more manufacturers don't do that (besides cost).

Looking at how clean your wheels are, I assume you probably use a strong wheel cleaner. Which one do you normally use?

I removed the wheels, hit it with a wire brush and painted the centers of the rotors black. The aftermarket wheels didn't cover the hub completely. Covers the rust and hides brake dust.

Sorry about the picture quality. I'm a bit surprised to hear rust on the rotors is normal. My Acura never had this problem. I'd be interested in more info about the paint option. I'm assuming it's some kind of high heat paint?

"My Acura never had this problem."

My 2005 Acura TL had it the day I bought it new due to sitting on the dealer lot. It came and went.

Yes, I'm not sure I've ever had a car with rotors that never had some rust. Driving and using the car seems to make it go away. I haven't owned a bunch of cars but did have a couple of Acura's with rusty rotors. The first Acura was an '02 which also had the thin short lasting rotors typical of the times weight saving measures.

This is what the rotors on my Civic Si looked like (this is an Accord, but same idea) and see how the hubs are black? That kept them from rusting where the OP is showing.
