Default Sat Nav and Compass are wrong

I have a 2011 Audi A7 with the MMI and HUD etc. Just recently I've noticed the sat nav is showing completely the wrong location and that the compass on the dashboard is showing the wrong direction by about 90 degrees.

Is there any way of resetting the compass and/or the sat nav?

Thanks

I ran into a similar issue last week. Most of what I found online suggested restarting the MMI system, which didn't resolve the problem in my case. A few indicated that there's a known issue with the shark fin antenna, which requires a trip to the dealer to resolve. Yet others claim that the problem is rooted to an issue with the nav controller's proximity to a component in the AC system and a resulting temperature issue.

Personally, I wanted to exhaust all of the quick and easy fixes before going down the serious time and $$$ road. So when I came across a post that suggested using the second key fob to start the car, I figured it couldn't hurt to give it a try. I'm not saying that correlation = causation, but it just so happened that within a minute or two of doing this the nav system snapped back to the correct location and hasn't given me any problems since then. YMMV, but you might want to give this a try.
