Default Strange Steering Wheel indent

Hi Guys,

I've just picked up my 2013 A7 Black Edition from an Audi Dealer and I'm loving it.

One thing odd is a strange indent in the steering wheel, I've checked some online photos but none have this.

Before I go back and ask the dealer I thought I'd ask if anyone has this indent or has seen one like it before. It is only on the left hand side.

Thanks,
Mark.

Previous owner had a steering wheel **** installed. It was removed but the indentation is remaining on the steering wheel where the soft leather and cushioning under it got compressed.

It had to be something like this:

fkaufman, thanks for that picture, I'd thought about it being a steering lock but couldn't visualise how it would fit.

I'll ask the dealer if this can be repaired as now I've seen it I can't unsee it, and it will annoy me.

The only way to repair it is going to be a new or used steering wheel.

I've emailed photos to the dealer and will be interested to find out about Audi's policy when it comes to selling prestige used cars with cosmetic damage. I would have thought if they had noticed this before sale they would have sorted it.

Is it a CPO car? If so then you are correct and they will fix it. If it is simply a used car then you are most likely out of luck.

It's an Audi Approved vehicle from an Audi Dealership in the UK, is that a CPO?

I bought a used '14 A7 TDI from a dealership in Austin, Texas. When I went to look at the car, the salesman identified a small chip in the center console wood trim, before I even noticed it. He stated that he had the part on order and when it came in they would replace it free of charge. Since mine is a TDI, they couldn't sell it as a CPO, but still offered the level of customer service you should be able to expect from Audi. Hope your dealership treats you well on this.

That I have no idea about. CPO in the US stands for Certified Pre-Owned and comes with what amounts to an extension of the factory warranty for 2 years beyond the factory warranty period.
