Default What about these aftermarket wheels?

Are any of you familiar with these wheels? Any issues with these or other non-OEM aftermarket wheels? Need new wheels for my wife's A7 but don't want to spend a lot of money as she is always curbing 'em.

I'd love to know also, as I've been eyeing these wheels for my A7 to replace the stock 20s that the original owner curbed quite a bit.

Hartmann does a similar OEM replicas as well. A little more, but they have a good reputation:

I agree with SPECTREGADGET,

Hartmann are better fit for the A7. They are hub centric and I run them during the winter months and they are SUPER strong and hard to bend. I have had no issues with vibration, bends, curbing, etc. I use 19 during winter and 20 OEM summer. Do not, please, do not go for cheaper aftermarket. They are chinese made and do not meet the strict german tolerance for the strongest orem rims and will bend like aluminum over potholes. These Audi are sensitive and will vibrate easily on the highway with bent rims. I HATE it when that happens. The hartmann meets both German and Japanese strict wheel tolerance and I have put over 30k miles on 2 sets without issues. The OEM replicas on eBay they will vibrate like crazy at certain speed base on my experience and the road force balance machine shows more out of roundness of these rims over time meaning they dont stay true and round as they get miles on them. Hence its a waste of money.

Go to hartman:

and buy the same design as you see on the ebay.

Congrats!! You will be so happy with them. Good thing is that they are very strong even with a slight curb rash you say may happen if your wife is driving but most importantly these rims will not crack, leak, bend or get distorted and stay strong and safe for your wife. Thats what is important. The ride should be smooth with the tires you are choosing. May I suggest the Michelin Pilot Sport AS3+ 275/35R20? These tires are perfect for this car and have a slightly thicker sidewall that will protect the rim and give more better ride over the standard 265/35R20 tires.

Get the tires and rims road force balance which is necessary for the Audis and tell the tech at the dealer no more than 10 lbs road force for each rim and tire.

Default Pics

Here is the pic of my A7 with the 19 inch version of your rims you ordered. I think they look amazing as winter set for my car with the Blizzaks LM32. The weather was warm when I took this picture and the rims were taken off few days after for the 20 inch OEM rims on the second picture. I can imagine that the 20 inch version of those same rims are going to be awesome!

It isn't actually that the sidewalls are "thicker" but that they are taller. Although they are only 3.5mm (0.137") taller.
