Fuses and Oddities
Hello again everyone! I am back with another question regarding my 1999 Audi A8 Quattro with 4.2 engine.
So I was dinking around with my car on break and discovered I was missing a fuse (possibly more, havent fully checked ALL the fuses, just the ones in the passenger foot well)
And I discovered that my "Air Mass Meter, Oxygen Sensor (Upstream of Catalytic Converter)" slot, didn't have a fuse in it... So I put the recommended 20 amp fuse in there, and drove it home after work... Everything seemed to work fine, I noticed no real change I guess other than in "D" (I am driving with TipTronic due to issues in D gear.)
But when I ended up home, I attempted to shut my car off, pulled out my key and opened the door then sat there puzzled... My Audi was still running without the key in it.
So Since that was the only fuse I put in at work, I ended up yanking that out and was able to shut my car off... Anyone have any input on what the duece that was all about?
Thanks for reading! Looking forward to the responses!
EDIT:
Checked all the fuses throughout the car and found a few faulty ones, and a few that were 5 amps too high... Replaced them with newer and correct amperage fuses... Still have the problem with having the "Air Mass Meter, Oxygen Sensor" fuse plugged in. Car wont shut off with it in there.
