Today i looked at a 2003 s8 with 151k miles. Car drove perfect with smooth transmission and no sounds etc... however there were other issues that caused concern.
1. No grill cover over both fog lights
2. Hood doesnt close properly
3. Brakes are soft
4. While the air conditioning is on it blows cold through main vents but hot very hot on drivers side vent only while car is in motion. When car stops its cool again.

Dealer is asking $6k plus fees which brings to $6700.

i havent taken to get a ppi yet because the above issues mainly the a/c may be a large issue and the dealer isnt flexible on price at all.

That seems like a pretty good deal. Fog light covers are nearly $300/piece. Bleeding the brakes should fix the soft pedal. Adjusting the hood hold downs is not hard. This is all stuff that could/should be addressed by a competent dealer. Have them fix all that and add $500 to the asking price.

No idea about #4. Probably a stuck door in the HVAC unit. Try cycling the temp all the way up and then back down.

Just curious, where are you located? That affects price a lot. Those issues sound relatively simple, but $6700 with them included and no haggle room? Not a great deal.
