Another start up problem again

Re: won't run under 1/3 tank, Yes, it could be that the correct pump is fitted but not seated such that the jet port is shooting fuel to the remote scavenge pumps down in the two lower "legs" of the tank. It could also be the wrong pump which fits but lacks the jet drive outlet.
Note the 6mm bottom outlet on the correct pump:

The $25 or so pump that fits many Audis lacks that port.

THANKS for this, for now ill leave it that way.
Probably he didnt replace it right.
Same mechanic replaced brake pads and now they are grinding ,squealing and destroying right rotor...These cars really need somebody that knows what he is doing.
This set might fix all my probs. How hard would be to install this?
Comprising: also use: set of gaskets for fuel tank. REP KIT made by Audi. #4D0298133C

Here's an update. Mechanic replaced fuel pump. He did a fuel pressure test. Test was good but when he cut the car off and started it back up seems like it didn't want to run hesitates fuel pressure went down. He said he'll be doing more tests on it. Hopefully this gets figured out.

Update. Mechanic had my car for about 2 weeks now. Just got off the phone. He says car starts up but cutts off after 3 minutes. Hard to start back up. I said that his workers and himself are giving up and for me to come get my car towed he said he exhausted all options and he never gave a car back not fixed. I don't now what to do. He said that the crank sensor comes up on the scan but he replaced and still the same. Help please

If getting the cps error still the ground must be very clean and the car is very sensitive to the correct sensor. I used an off brand and had the same issues. Went to the bosch factory purchased from FCP Euro and have been fine ever since. Good luck.

I'm going to get it towed home and figure it out myself like usual. The crank sensor I purchased from ecs tuning. Last year this time it was my plug for my fuel pump corroded. Maybe it is a short somewhere. I'll keep you guys updated.

Got the car back. Been working on it since. The fuel pump is new again. New crank sensor and nothing. Did a scan but no codes. I think the mechanic erased them. Now I need help finding where are all the grounds on car. Might be a corrosion somewhere.

Check the passenger wheel well junction box power wire connection I mentioned earlier, it takes literally 15 minutes to check. I am beginning to be convinced that this is the leading cause for starting/running problems and why so many D2 are scrapped...
