I can not find an S8 engine with 32 Valves (AHC/AKH) or even an S6+ Engine (AHK) So My question can I fit a 32 valves head on a 40 Valves Short Block Because 40 Valves engine are easier to find in my opinion Engine Code ( AQH AVP AYS). Please advise me if I can or give me an alternative because I love this car and I don't want to scrap it .
And I believe, from 32 to 40V, the coolant routing changed between head and block, also.
Plus, not sure (without an ETKA reference) but I'd guess 32V engine pistons may have different tops, to mach the different valve arrangement.
Not likely a possible swap

Without any research at all, I think it would be a bit more complicated than that. For one, 40V heads have variable valve timing...the ECM has to control that function.
And I believe, from 32 to 40V, the coolant routing changed between head and block, also.

there is an audi dismantler in the UK that has the heads you are looking for. (from AHC). I was going to buy them, but went a different route with my project.
they wanted $400 for both heads, all internals, and covers.
They didnt have them listed on ebay, but if you email them and ask, they may still have them.
