Brake Pad Advice - Low Dust S8 Brembo
Looking to replace my brake pads and rotors on my 2001 S8 with the Brembo Calipers and I'm having trouble finding a good set of pads that get good reviews on being quiet as well as offering low dust. Those that seem like a good option usually only offer rear pads.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated. The amount of dust the OEM pads make is terrible.

I'm using the Stoptech Street Performance on my S8...way less dust than stock. If I put a ton of miles on it, I'd probably go with the Posi-quiets. Both made by Centric.

I was trying to get hold of some Hawk Ceramics, but for some reason they've stopped making them?? (Still make same size for a porsche...).
I've ended up with EBC Red Stuff, but haven't fitted them yet, so can't comment on if they're as low dust as I'm expecting.
My advice is to try and avoid a hard compound track (or semi track) pad, as they only work well when hot and are ****e on the street! Make sure whichever brand you go for its a street pad.

I recently replaced my front rotors and pads. I went with Brembo rotors and Pagid pads. I have a little break squeal coming from the front right but break dust, after first two weeks, has been minimal.
Very happy how clean rims are even after 3 weeks without washing them.
Good luck.

I've had good experiences with Mintex Redbox in the past and was planning on going with those when I need pads again. Braking a bit better than factory pads with a lot less dust, but not a track pad that needs to get up to temp to work well.

Thanks everyone. I set this to notify me via email but nothing... had no idea there were responses.
Centric Semi-Metallic show low dust and an OE replacement, but I somehow doubt it.
I'm in North Carolina and I saw Stoptech options and it looks like they make Centric... I will give them a call and see what they recommend.
Going to look into the Pagid which also appear to be an OE replacement as well.
Has anyone "upgraded" to drilled/slotted rotors? Any feedback on having issues. Obviously not a necessity, but they look good with upgraded wheels.
